i wrote this song near the end of 2018, right after i escaped a difficult time in my life and had to move in with my dad before i found my feet in glasgow.
those of you who know me through my previous songs will understand that i was trapped in a difficult relationship, it’s no secret. this is a song about how i used to dream about breaking up with her and subsequently breaking her heart. it was often raining in my dreams.
lyrics
I stopped looking out for myself.
The answer’s never in the bottom of the bottle.
But it doesn’t, hurt to find out whether that is common knowledge.
Til the day after when you’re all alone, again.
And it rains down on me. You woke me up this morning.
When I break your heart, every night when I’m dreaming.
When it rains down on me, why I wasn’t I just sober.
When I break your heart.
I took my mind for a wander.
The air was bitter, but I'm bitter too.
I’m sorry to be constant misery.
Let me fall the next time I reach for your hand.
And it rains down on me. You woke me up this morning.
When I break your heart, every night when I’m dreaming.
When it rains down on me, why I wasn’t I just sober.
When I break your heart.
Tell me if you’re gonna be there, tell me baby, tell me soon.
Tell me if you’re gonna be there, tell me baby, tell me soon.
Tell me if you’re gonna be there, tell me baby, tell me!
And it rains down on me. You woke me up this morning.
When I break your heart, every night when I’m dreaming.
When it rains down on me, why I wasn’t I just sober.
When I break your heart.

What a nice surprise. Mellow and lyrical acoustic compositions delivered with deep emotional attachment. This is easily the soundtrack of yet another summer turning slowly into autumn! Necrocius
